Useless! The unemployment service in Austria does not support the unemployed or women in need of a job or women going back to work after a pregnancy. I was only 7 weeks pregnant when i went to AMS looking for a job (having been left by the child's father and being a student of a MINT subject at university) i was told by the counselor that it was not possible for them to refer me to any company knowing that i am pregnant. I proceeded to tell her, that women in Austria are protected by law and can start new jobs while pregnant - she said i'd have to look on my own because they are not allowed to refer me with this knowledge (she also said i should not have told her). I am tri-lingual, have a bachelor/master degree in computer science and various experience - this seems to play no role in the face of being pregnant. I struggle to understand how this country can afford to run such an unemployment agency. A few months after delivering i went back to ask about daycare options for my child under the age of one and was told that i should contact youth and child services - that they are responsible for me since i have a child (i found very strange since AMS advertises it's many services for women and girls and it's support for re-entry into the workforce after having had a child). Again, i struggle to understand how the values of this unemployment agency fit with the values of this country regarding an increased need of qualified work force, women in technical fields, measures to promote healthy population growth (Austrian women having children) etc... if it was possible, i would not let my tax money be a part of their subsidies.

El trato varía según tenga el día el personal. Una vez con ellos te hacen la vida imposible. Te envían ofertas de trabajo absurdas que nada tienen que ver con tú perfil laboral. No les interesa en realidad ayudarte, debes cumplir para completar sus estadísticas. Es muy desagradable tener que necesitar de ellos. Ese dinero que te pagan, te lo sacan de tu propio trabajo, no sé por qué les cuesta tanto dártelo. ¡La triste realidad!
Wie so oft hängt der Erfolg von den handelten Personen ab. Ich kann als Arbeitgeber nur positives Berichten. Unser Betreuer Herr Tomenendal betreut unser Unternehmer seit vielen Jahren und hat noch für jedes Problem eine Lösung gefunden. Mein persönlicher Eindruck ist, das das AMS den Sprung vom Amt auf einen Dienstleister, mit solchen Mitarbeitern bzw. geschafft hat.
Kein sonderlich hilfreicher Umgang mit Jugendlichen die eine Lehrstelle suchen. Wirkt auf junge Menschen eher abschreckend.
Die Firmenbetreuer sind eine Katastrophe! Keine Hilfestellung, frage mich wozu die da arbeiten wenn nicht für Ihre Kunden? Sie unterstützen Unternehmen nicht, wenn man Fragen hat bekommt man keine Antwort, man verweist ständig auf online Beratung etc. Herr ic. eine Zumutung und Frechheit für seriöse Unternehmen die Mitarbeiter suchen.
Die freundlichste und beste Beratung, die ich jemals irgendwo bekommen habe. Egal mit wem ich telefoniert oder persönlich gesprochen habe, jeder war wirklich immer ausgesprochen freundlich und kompetent. Top!
Finde es eine Frechheit wie mit Kunden umgegangen wird und das Menschen was Jahrelang gearbeitet haben weniger Geld bekommen als Menschen die nicht aus Österreich kommen......Ich bin froh das ich auf das AMS nicht angewiesen bin.
Ich hatte heute (telefonisch) das bis jetzt beste Beratungsgespräch! Der Herr war höflich und hilfsbereit. Mir wurde alles gut erklärt und ich hab mich verstanden gefühlt. Man kann das leider nicht von allen Mitarbeitern dort behaupten aber ganz großes Lob an den (vlt sogar einzigen) Mitarbeiter der mir geholfen hat. Bin zwar noch immer arbeitslos aber ja
