I expected a bit more i guess. But its and impressive building and yes i guess the exhibitions u must like. CAP was a bit odd or i was not sure, not too much my stuff a bit too weird. But w am i to judge, right? anyways the sound insallation was cool and impressive and the staff again so very very friendly and helpful and then the extensive book store and shop. Spent literally hours there. Also the needle is wonderful to have a cool view over the city!

The interesting Kunsthaus Graz or Art Museum the city of Graz was built as part of the celebrations of the European Capital of Culture in 2003 and has since become an architectural landmark in Graz, Austria. His exhibition program has specialized in contemporary art since the 1960s. The building is an example of blob architecture, and has a skin made of iridescent blue acrylic panels that also double as photovoltaic panels. Owing to its shape contrasting with its surroundings, it is known in local vernacular as the \Friendly Alien\. Kunsthaus Graz was designed by Colin Fournier as the Partner-in-Charge together with Sir Peter Cook. According to The Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London, the Kunsthaus' design sought to be deliberately provocative, innovate museum design by offering a less \institutional\ approach to organising exhibition spaces and employs new materials and manufacturing techniques. And they succeeded completely in that. Architecture, design, new media, internet art, film, and photography are united under one roof. Kunsthaus Graz was developed as an institution to stage international exhibitions of multidisciplinary, modern and contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day. It does not collect art, maintains no permanent exhibitions and does not have its own depot. Rather, its exclusive purpose is to present and procure contemporary art productions.

It's such a striking exterior when walking in old school Graz, this building calls you in. Unlike the ill-fated blimp I seem to attach to the shape, this space lands with grace and style! The interior is an experience in Austrian cool, with trendy, sometimes quirky, style. The coffee shop next door is great for a long or brief drink and eat, then shop!

We were there with our son and a friend, the exhibition was interesting, but more interesting was the creative area,1st floor. The kids could build with some Kapla wooden pieces, make some collage...very nice

The building is very impressive. The exhibitions were less exciting. The gift shop is excellent with lots of fancy designs

Architecturally, the Kunsthaus is a thing of beauty - a work of art. Inside is equally impressive. The exhibitions are nicely curated. 'Camera Austria' is currently displayed.

The museum's architecture alone make it worth seeing and visiting (entering). As for the exhibits inside, I can only speak for what was on when I visited and it was underwhelming or I suppose hard to understand like much of contemporary art and it is a contemporary art museum so...

It would be a great experience to visit the gallery, only if there’s some great exhibitions. It’s not a good thing for visitors from far away to come here and see nothing but a simple small exhibition in a single room. Without fixed exhibitions can people hardly stay here for more than 30 minutes. A great architecture anyway.
