Visited the Restaurant only for dessert. Very helpful waiter to customize our dessert as we wanted it. Nice setting and smiling faces. Came here as a family with a kid and very satisfied overall. Considering the place closes at 21:30, you don’t have many options in the village during winter time :) They have a rich menu compared the other restaurants nearby

Lovely small hotel in Hallstatt. Small room, big bathroom, good maintenance. The restaurant was good with delicious food. Standard breakfast. Overall was good.
amazing atmosphere & beautiful restaurant but waiter showed in the photo was not friendly.. especially when we were paying he was so rude and just keep saying “money money money” , we did not feel well. But the service from younger waiter was efficient, and more friendly...
I rarely rate restaurant one star but this was just very unsatisfactory. It was recommended by both blogs and tour guide as it apparently serves traditional good food. But I had a bad experience as the food did not meet my expectations. I did like the design of the restaurant and the choice of music. Service was ok for me. Initially I thought maybe the asparagus cream soup was very watery (taste like milk) and that could be a traditional way of cooking it. The local fish caviar was so-so as well. Then the reinanke grilled fish was a huge disappointment. It was tasteless with no salt (coming from a salt mine town) Traditional cooking perhaps? For 40 there were 1 small-medium local fish, 3 boiled potatoes, 2 pieces of lettuce, 1 slice of lemon and served with warm unsalted butter. Plus, the fish has heaps of bone. I felt that the whole town is a tourist trap and the price for the fish do not reflect a LOCAL fish.
The food portions were small and my fish with bread and salad consisted of 5 pieces of fish and 2 halves of soggy toast. Furthermore 1/2 of the plate was full of salad. The fish was bland and the toast was cold. The waiter brought the wrong drink. For the price I paid o would have expected much better food. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Nice place to visit, typical Austrian design and cuisine. Tasty food and great atmosphere. But it was too cold inside. Besides the waiter had a finger wounded, he was in the blood, and despite this he served the customers, I think it’s out of place because he is the one deal with food.
All the food we have tonight are so good and so nice!
Very cozy place to stay. But the restaurant is rather on the lower end. Quite unfriendly staff and menu promises more than they have available.
