What a marvelous view and what a gorgeous place for hiking! It's also a small paradise for landscape photographers. Most of the trees are several hundred years old (up to 700). Remember to keep walking only on the designated trails and take your trash back with you! Be mindful of the beautiful nature so it will last! Note that the last 15 kilometers to the nature reserve are toll road and even though it's in Austria, you can only access through Germany. Entry by car is only possible during summer time until end of October (see homepage Wegegemeinschaft Hinterriss). In winter the toll road is closed so the valley becomes hard to reach.

Hidden Gems in the mountain! This place offered us amazing view with great hiking trail. Recommend anyone to go there, worth the time

Sehr schöner Platz, wenn man wie wir das Glück hat, ihn relativ ruhig zu erleben. Die Herbstverfärbung war zwar schon vorüber, doch die knorrigen Bäume ein phantastischer Anblick. Auch ein sehr schöner Spazierweg auf der Alm. In der Dämmerung ein wirklich friedvoller Ort.
Der große Ahornboden ist zu jeder Jahreszeit eine Reise wert. Aber besonders im Herbst wenn die Blätter sich bunt einfärben sollte man hier einmal vorbeischauen.
Immer einen Besuch wert , besonders zur Laubfärbung der Ahorn-Bäume. An den Hängen größere Vorkommen an Silber und Gold Disteln . Auspunkte für Wanderung zu den verschiedenen Alm Hütten im Karwendelgebirge. Leicht erreichbar ist die Eng Alm , dort befindet ein schöner Spielplatz für Kinder
