I came around December and there was a Christmas Market going on. There were plenty of stalls with food and other items. There was also a merry go round in one area as well. Quite a lot of things to see even though it is a fairly small area. The market is beside the river and close to one of the main bridges.

Beautiful and quaint town although obviously a huge tourist attraction so best enjoyed during the evening hours when it's slightly quieter - can't fault the views though!
Great little Christmas market with a large assortment of food and gifts.
Very picturesque location. It has a good selection of shops and cafes.
Now when you come to Innsbruck without visiting this place then you don't know Innsbruck,this place is popular for organising festival, markets and FOTO shooting , it's a wonderful place , come and see it yourself
It's a really nice place to sit back, relax after a hard day's trek at the sorrounding montains ...
A must see for a short trip. Great view across the river. Nice to hang out in summer or at the frequent events or festivals.
