The pleasant and not expensive accommodation in a youth hostel in the town of St. Gilgen. Rooms are furnished simply but efficiently, each room has its own bathroom. The cleanliness of all rooms is excellent. A good breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. On the ground floor is a room with several tables where you can have fun in the evening, so you do not disturb other guests. Next to the hostel is a pizzeria where you can go for dinner. The hostel is right on the shore of the lake, so in summer it is possible to swim. Directly in the town is a port, from where a boat goes to St.Wolfgang and Strobl. There is a paradise for cyclists, both road and mountain. The whole area of the Salzkammergut is known for its beautiful landscape and pleasant natives.

Well located near the lake. Simple room with main toiletries. Good for a quick low budget stay. Nice hotel staff. Reasonable breakfast. Would recommend.
We visited this place during last summer. It was only a couple of minutes walk from the bus stop. Our room was a single room with private bathroom. Considering the time, it was a very good deal. And the best part of the stay was the beach next to this hostel. They also offered us buffet breakfas, which we also appreciat. Would love to come back soon.
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Best accommodation if you're looking for budget yet private options.
Simply the heaven
One of the staff members at this hostel went to great lengths to get a scarf that I had left after our stay back from a group that had taken it with them by accident. The group were nice enough to send back to to the hostel and then the hostel posted it straight back to me. Really excellent service which added to the fact that it was a great place to stay and in a fantastic location.
The beach is the best. The breakfest was absolutly amazing. But that was to much time, to reload the multivitamin drinks in the mashine.
It was a nice place. Absolutely beautiful view. Right in front of the lake. Rooms were nice. Enough outlets, beds were comfy enough. Recommend it!
