5 min walk to FHOÖ 10 min walk to city center 15 min walk to train station Nice room, furnished, nice bathroom - You need to bring your own cooking stuff like pans, pots, cutlery and everything for induction cooking they do not mention it before coming to GOH - You also need to bring your own bed sheets, pillow and bedding. - To bring all this stuff with you is not ideal for an exchange student - Very expensive in comparison to other student rooms in the city of Wels and Linz - The emails are in English, however no one of the staff speaks English and all the contracts and stuff is all in German. So you really need to know a bit of German when coming to GOH. For exchange students I would recommend to find a room via your buddy from school or just look for a room in Wels or Linz in a student flat/apartment.

Lousy administration that does not care about anything, for example when the garage door gets broken they just leave it open for anyone to enter the building at any time. Not to speak about WiFi.. expect not to have internet when you need it the most..this was great fun during the online lectures. There is a restaurant in which you of course have to pay additionally to eat..the food quality is pretty low. The fire alarm goes off at least once a month because the rooms with kitchens inside, don't have kitchen hoods (it was obviously too expensive to invest in such high-tech devices..). Every time this happens, the whole building is evacuated before the firemen come. Once it happened at 5 AM. You as a university student are not allowed to have a beer on the terrace..but they have no problem with underage highschoolers smoking all the time. You cannot choose if you want your room to be cleaned every month..you have to pay for that also. Some members of the staff are very rude. Once I left my bike in the hallway and two of them came yelling at me as if I destroyed half of the building. When I moved out (August), the dorm was completely empty. Since I was expecting some mail, I kindly asked if they could leave my name on the postbox one week more, but the rude lady from the administration of course refused. All year round you're paying a cleaning fee and after you move out, you have to pay 50 again. Dear fellow students, for 460 (or much less) per month you can find a much better place where people will actually be thankful for your money. For example, a dorm in Linz.

This is a private non profit organisation that provides modern and comfortable living facilities for young people who study and/or work. The staff is really friendly, a few options for room selection. Recommended to all the students coming in to Wels for studies. Clean and tidy environment inside, a few common rooms for group studying, vending machines are available as well. 7/10

Close (5 minute walk) to the FH Comes furnished - Terrible internet - Antisocial atmosphere for incoming students - Very overpriced - Rude and cruel staff, who enforce strict and pointless rules - Terrible provided meals - Building is sterile and feels like a hospital - Complex is right next to a silo so room fills with dust very quickly. Unfortunately if you are an exchange student, this or Kolpinghaus are your main options. I recommend looking for a shared flat if you can. This room costs 460/month compared to a shared flat which can be anything from 200-350/month.

NO WAY! Expensive and with no service! I went there as a university student (and from this year the university students has an own part of the dormitory), and we have only single rooms with a bathroom in the room (that is good) and we can choose to share the kitchen with other 2 people or having a small kitchen directly in the room. But there are a lot of problems. First, you have just an electronic key to open the rooms, and if, for any reason, you forgot them in the room, you have big troubles, especially in the week end (because there should be someone in charge for that but this person is not always in the dorm and cannot reach the dorm usually in less than few hours, due to travels, and no body else have the keys, so you have to hope that someone host you or call a person and pay 250 euro for opening the door for you). Secondly in the contract they tell you that breakfast is included but it is not written that only from Monday to Friday and with the exclusion of the school/holiday (because they have to guarantee the breakfast for the high/school student, but not to university student). Finally if you have any type of problem (like a light/bulb that does not work) it will pass one month or more before they fix it
