DE VAL is a restaurant situated in the heart of Vienna, surrounded by amazing buildings such as the Austrian Parliament and the Vienna City Hall and still the street is very nice and quiet without a lot of traffic. As you step your foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed in a trendy and warm environment which feels, due to its small size, like a living room. The menu offers delicious and mouth-watering courses. I had a vegetarian version of the menu and all the cuisines were refreshing and nothing I ever tasted before. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks, they serve the best local wines and beers. The staff is young and friendly and the owner is so thoughtful of her guests. The chef is always around to tell you and the other guests more about the courses, as well as some entertaining anecdotes. Because of the brilliant atmosphere and delicious food service, I highly recommend going to DE VAL restaurant.

Amazing food and wine! The place has a great vibe and the owners are super friendly coming up and introducing themselves at the start of the experience was fantastic. The wild boar “schnitzel” was one of the best dishes I’ve had in Austria. If you’re in Vienna this place is a must visit.
One of the most magnificent dining experiences of the last 20 years. Very innovative use of locally sourced ingredients, excellent wine pairings, featuring Austrian wines from small vineyards that were inspirational in their own right. This young and creative chef was very generous, taking time with each course, explaining to us what all he had prepared and even why. His wife too was a most gracious and knowledgeable host. Sauces were surprising, well conceived and balanced, fish was cooked perfectly as was the nice portion of tender veal. Heck, even the after-dinner chocolates were the best I’ve ever had. I could continue to rave.... We chose the 6-course option and were very happy we did. Bravo Chef!
Pleasant experience! Delicious food, friendly and very helpful staff and the wine selection is fenomenale! A modern cuisine, mixture of Dutch and Austrian. I recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderful experience at Deval, hosted by Chef Daan and his lovely wife. The flavor combinations are truly amazing, the ambience is lovely, the service very friendly and accommodating and the wine parings surprised with some very interesting Austrian wines. Definitely a recommendation, we will return.

Zwei Mal im Deval gewesen, beide Male begeistert. Sehr gutes und innovatives Essen mit regionalen Zutaten, spannend und charismatisch präsentiert, mit super Service und sehr guten Weinen. Preislich angemessen. Einfach gut!
