Note: Documents submission for passport renewal are done in some other building. This was not communicated and not mentioned anywhere. I reached main building before time and was redirected to another building across the street. The employee's expressions were cold just like any other Govt office employee in India. I was expecting him to be cheerful and welcoming. But, he was more than helpful and in-fact helped me out by making a photocopy of my missed out document.

Indian embassy, conveniently located. Super efficient
Different staff give different information. Even if you reach before(say 15 mints) closing time staff can send you back.
