Typical Austrian/German bureaucracy, but if you just wait patiently then you'll get everything done. Anyway, works much better than elsewhere in the world, I can promise you that! There is a copy machine which charges 0.34 a copy, and a photo booth. They don't like speaking in English, which is understandable, but if you don't get aggressive about it and are prepared to wait, then in time they will help you in English

I went there for replacing my driving license. The queue was short. The person from the information desk refused to speak in English. Maybe he doesn’t speak English... However, the person from the office where I left the documents was very kind and patient and had no problem in speaking with me in English. Therefore, my suggestion is that the person from the information desk should be able/willing to speak English as well.

the woman who answered the phone from verkehrsamt abteilung was very rude and impolite i was shocked by the way she talked to me, as they are working directly with people thay have to learn how to talk!

The lady in the information booth refused to help me because I was speaking English. She told me that I should learn German and kept mocking me about it. Don’t leave! Call the same office and ask for someone that speaks English and they will come and help.

Never go there or call them if you speak English. They will hate you for that in a very first second and they will try to send you back home without answers. You can try call them but it is the same, even some times they just shout the phone couse they don't speak English. So this is my experience from calling more then 20 times and also going to the police station about 10 times in COVID19 period.

I can't wait the day when a computer program will replace all those incompetent and rude clerks working in police, justice system and public sector in general. Awful service!

Contrary to other people's experience, I found it easy to get what I needed here. You will need to translate the documents yourself but if you follow all the instructions it will work well. I never had to wait too long. Although once I arrived and the queue was too long so I came back at another time.
