10/10. The hotel is situated on the centre of Vienna, every sightseeing is walkable from there and it is the most safe place to move day and night. Cozy, clean rooms, comfortable beds. The reception couldn't be more kind and helpful. Instant answers to our questions through mail. They agreed to postpone our reservation three times (due to our cancellation of flights), although they were not obliged to.
You certainly get what you pay for, but more. I found this place very comforting. Perhaps because I chose to stay here through Christmas. I got to become familiar with the faces of this aging 'guest house' and fell into a comforting rhythm. Probably not going to earn any Michelin stars anytime soon from there meat and cheese breakfast.. but it's simply that kind of basic existence that makes this place feel like a home away from a home. Oh, and the beds were a bit hard for my taste. Happy travels!
We had a lovely time here. Yes it's quaint but very homely. Clean rooms, simple breakfast, friendly and professional staff and good value. The location however, could not be more perfect. We had considered the Marriott, but I'm glad we chose this place. As a jumping off point to explore the city, it's right in the middle. The epicenter. Close to the u-bahn stop, the Stephan's platz, the pedestrian shopping streets etc. We only really stayed in the hotel at night to sleep. If you'd like a hotel to be somewhere you spend many hours, gym, pool, big room etc, this is not for you. If you want an ideal place to base yourself as you explore Vienna then this is as good as it gets. We stayed in a family room, two adults and two young kids, and it was fine. No issues of note. There is a fine upscale 3 floor supermarket next door. Ideal for buying any supplies or food you might need. All in all, it's the location that makes this hotel a winner.
Despite the spartan view of the room, the pension offers almost everything you need for a few days spending in Vienna. The location is the best you can get, in the middle of the city, with everything nearby. The accommodation offers airport transfer for a good price (the owner was our driver ), the staff is very kind and helpful and the place is quiet. Because we left early morning, they arranged us lunch boxes for breakfast.
Strategic location just beside the St. Stephens Cathedral, central city Vienna. The building & furniture are old, shower room is clean, breakfast poor. Can't even order omelete. For people who like to stay in the hotel the whole day is not recomended. For me was ok because i just need for sleep in the night, and during d days i did sightseeing. For that, this hotel location was great. Many things to see around. There r many shop also. If u lazy to walk, just take Underground Trains that u can find them easly as well around the hotel.
The hotel is nicely located just 2 mins walk to the Stephansdom! The room is small but clean. A little old but otherwise everything is decent. Theres a flat tv and hair dryer. Only downside is the toilet room are shared for the whole floor. But I never encountered a queue so all good. The breakfast is with quite limited selection but cant really complain with the price. There is free wifi. The staff are friendly too most of all, so overall a very good place for short stays.
