Service was friendly but sorry to say it was very slow. Maybe I expect that „Imbiss“ concept offers fast service. Authentic? I don’t think so. My rice wasn‘t cooked but at least the waiter immediately changed it. I am very knowledgeable with Thai Foods, I know how the taste should be. I am sorry but my opinion is , papaya salads were not tasty at all. Spinach dish is salty. The one special menu with the clams is fine. Two Desserts we ate (Coconut Icecream & Thai Pancake) were good also. The Thai wine mix I will recommend though.

Excellent little restaurant. They serve Thai food, trying to reproduce the original flavors you may have experienced in Thailand. We had the papaya salad (no shrimp, not spicy) as a starter, tasted fresh but it kinda missed something. As a main we had fried rice with chicken and a Gaeng Daeng red curry with chicken. The rice was good but the curry was the real star on the table: spicy and fresh, so delicious.

Imagine Delicious Thai Food under a Banyan Tree I had read about this restaurant roughly a year ago but as I live in other parts of the city, I never got to visit. This time I made a special effort and was not disappointed. Although some other reviewers claim the food is not authentic, even bland, I would not really chime in with them. The Pad Thai were mouthwateringly delicious - I am a connoisseur.. The papaya salad was very good, maybe could have used some chilis or was it just my palate that is used to being set on fire!. The same goes for the Tom Kha Gai. Europeans are sometimes scared of spicy food, so I can understand why the dishes are described by some raters as being bland. Possibly when ordering, one just needs to say that one would like very spicy.....HOT! I will definitely return to try some of the other dishes Pumpui offers, AND in the hot summer it must be wonderful to sit under a tree, drink Singha (my favorite), Chang or Leo beer and imagine one is in Thailand...Thank you for taking good care of me!

Most authentic Thai food that I’ve had so far in Vienna. Good food! Definitely coming back! I used to live in Bangkok so I was missing good Thai food in Vienna. This place is just the right place to go! The place is fairly small so make sure to book a table before you go.

Save yourself a trip to Thailand, Pumpui will take you on a culinary tour there and back in a single meal. All around excellent experience! Very laid back vibes, great for groups or couples. The food is superb. Thai spring rolls with red cabbage add a unique twist to an otherwise standard dish. They are delicious. The Khao Dom rice soup is a must have. Very simple, but bursting with flavor. Pad Krapow with pork is still one of my favorite dishes. It’s spicy but pairs so well with their homemade Thai iced tea (try it with lemon or get it the traditional way with milk). For vegan/vegetarians there are also plenty of options across the menu. Coconut ice cream dessert is fantastic. It’s a summer special, so get it while it lasts! Will definitely be back to this Thai canteen many times more!

Apart from the food, which is obviously delicious, the atmosphere is great: relaxing, friendly and inviting. What's more the staff are super friendly and helpful. I'll be back soon, and if I can muster the courage, next up is the Khua Kling - supposedly the hottest dish on the menu
