Had a great time training here a few years ago. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. It does not matter what level you are they treat everyone with dignity. Great for beginners and for those that have been practicing martial arts for some time. If I had the time in my busy schedule I would still be training there.

I visited SAMI HQ while visiting Europe as a traveling martial artist from the USA. I was greeted by everyone as if I've been training with them for years. They immediately accepted me as a student and treated me with great respect. I was fortunate to book a private lesson with Peter Weckauf, who is one of the foremost martial artists in the world. He took the time to explain several concepts and techniques from his world-renowned system. I also took a SAMI Knife class, which was also awesome. Since I met the reality of SAMI in Vienna, I can sincerely say that there are no other realities like theirs. SAMI is not just a gym where you learn to defend yourself and find the discipline best suited to your abilities. SAMI is a family composed of instructors prepared both from a technical sports and a human point of view. Those who register with SAMI do not do it with the intent to excel or feel superior to others but do so with the spirit of those who want to improve and grow with others. Peter and Irmi have created a family not only in Vienna but in every corner of the world where SAMI is. Humility, preparation and community of intent are the characteristics that distinguish this great family.
I’ve been in the Martial Arts for almost 30 years, am an instructor, and hold black belts in multiple ranks and systems, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen or trained with anyone as fantastic as Peter and his SAMI instructors. With an amazing approach to what I call “common thread” training, they have taken my training, teaching, and skill level to new heights. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND training with SAMI, either in person or in their online learning platform. Quite frankly, there is no one better. You will be very happy you did.

Large variety of combat systems. At SAMI International headquarters is always a pleasure to train with very competent instructors and high motivated students (actually a lot of the students are instructors from all over the world) to train with.
