Great school with best teachers. We had lots of fun and learned a lot. Nice classrooms and warm atmosphere. Staying in the Residence with other students was a perfect experience.
they courses were okay, but nothing special. even though the groups are small, classes are very basic and did not bring along enough individual care. also the content is not suitable for beginners (very complicated words are being taught which you'd never use in daily life according to some native speakers) expected much more flexibility and customer oriented service from the administration. I guess, the demand is high and they do not really care much...not worth the money. find a WU-Buddy for free and learn German a 100 times faster
I took part in the Sommer course for students 16-19 y.o. for 2 weeks, as a such it was a great experience with motivated teachers and classmates from all around the world. Per day we had 2 lessons of grammar and 2 lessons of conversations. Conversations were awesome and awesome only. As far as grammar is concerned, though, I believe there is a chance for improvement. In my eyes, the progress was quite slow, for each day it was provided one particular grammar (e.g. Konjuktiv II) followed by a lot of exercises. I get it that training makes perfect, but I would welcome the possibility to do less exercises on lessons and having optional homework instead. Nevertheless, even with this method, I learnt a lot new in just 2 weeks. Another issue that we were facing that omits the language school regards to accommodation. Firstly, I was told that I am about to be in a shared room with one person. Instead, we had an apartment for 6 people w/ 3 rooms for 2 people. Yet, the kitchen and bathroom were shared. Especially, in the morning it happened to be a problem. Moreover, I was fortunate that I was accommodated in Haus 5, yet the students accommodated in Haus 2 werent given kitchens with I find unfair. All in all, despite the given drawbacks most of the things were awesome and I really do recommend Actilingua Academy. Bis bald.
