Great tour! Alvin made the trip fun, even his honking was entertaining. Don't take the big bus tours, take this one. Drive to the lake district was the best!

So glad I chose the smaller tour company! It was a small group and we all had lots of time to ask questions. It’s such a unique opportunity to not only learn about Salzburg, but also the surrounding area. I was thrilled to see all the Sound of Music sights, but also learned so much more about the culture and history! Our guide, Tom, was super friendly and knowledgeable! Thank you!
We loved the sound of music tour. It was the perfect choice for us. It was a beautiful personal tour and much like being driven around the local area by a friend. Lots of great information not just about the sound of music but also all the surrounding area. The tour includes a drive through the lakes district which was unexpected. I highly recommend this tour for those travelling with companions who may not be so interested in the sound of music. Great value.
Well this tour was just a delight for the two of us. You hop on a spacious van with a personal guide to see some of the sites in Salzburg where the Sound of Music was filmed and you tidbits of information about the film and it's impact on the city. You don't see everything city, but what you don't see you can catch on foot later by yourself. You visit several small town in the area including the Mondsee chapel where the wedding was shot. And, you end at St. Gilgan, a breathtaking mountain village. St. Gilgan was completely covered in clouds when we sat down for our coffee and cake. Within an hour, the cold parted as if we were in a movie and we could see the lake in a crystal clear sky. It was a wonderful experience we highly recommend.
We throughly enjoyed this informative tour. Tom, our driver and guide was very attentive and engaging. He mixed his commentary with history, humour and music. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Sound of Music and the surrounding area.
Really good tour company, our tour guide was really good!
My family and I went on the morning Sound of Music Tour with Luke as our guide and we had a wonderful time! We really enjoyed seeing the places where the movie was filmed, but also all the additional sights and info about the areas around Salzburg.
On a Silent Night tour, we had to walk 800 meters in the pouring rain supposedly because you can't pickup passengers in the Old Town. Tour is sold as a small (8 person) group tour and we were 25 people on a large bus. Overall Bob's Tour used to be great but feels like its gone down hill...
