We had one day in Salzburg and I am so glad we spent our evening doing this! First: The location is AMAZING. The cooking school is carved into the mountain. Johann was very knowledgeable and had everything set up for us upon our arrival. We were lucky enough to have the class all to ourselves! He taught us how to make apple strudel and another salzburg dessert. We had a lot of fun. Johann did have to reschedule the original time we booked, which was difficult since we were only in Salzburg for one day, but he more than made up for it by making us some amazing goulash! We can't recommend this experience enough!

Absolutely loved this cooking experience. Chef Johann made everything so easy to follow, with clear instructions and easy recipes, and the food was delicious. The cooking school is in an old customs house cut into the rock and is a really interesting venue. I would highly recommend this experience if you have time to kill in Salzburg.
Johann was pleasant, cordial and very patient in teaching 4 children and 4 adults how to make Austrian style apple strudel, as well as the Salzburger Nockerl. The goulash soup that we had as part of our lunch was also very delicious! Johann was also very good at explaining the history behind some of the food. I highly recommend adding Edelweiss Cooking School as part of your plans when visiting Salzburg. We would all do it again!
Really great experience. Johann is a very experienced chef and I would recommend this to anyone. We made strudel and some cookies so it was a perfect winter experience. We purchased a package experience with lunch but we weren’t told drinks were not included so just bear in mind you’ll have to pay for them at the end.
We found this on the Internet and thought it would be fun to try. We weren’t wrong. The staff are gracious and great instructors. It was both informative and fun. I can’t wait until I go home so I can make it for my friends.
Entertaining, educational and lots of fun! Brilliant and knowledgeable host. We were extremely pleased we spent the time in the class - even managed to squeeze a beer in (none alcoholic drinks also available! )
I got confused on our reservation, and we showed up a day late for our appointment. They were very nice, and even though they were sold out, they made accommodations for us and took great pains to make sure we had a great experience. The staff is very kind, and the food is great! Highly recommended!
Our first cooking class, we were made to feel right at home. Very friendly and informative tutor, cosy old venue cut into the cliff face. Great day activity in Salzburg! Delicious deserts and goulash too!
