Good place to eat after climbing the Schonbichler Horn.

Great location, but the place was pretty overcrowded and the staff not particularly friendly with us. The halbpension meal plan was also pretty overpriced for what you get (and we could have gotten plenty of food for less and had more choice ordering a la carte).

Great stay ! Super tasty Spinatknödel with salat. The famous housemade Apfelstrudel wad delicious. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Less waiting time for food & are reasonably priced. Breakfast was also very nice with diverse options. And yes, they do have warm shower !!! Overall nice ambience & enjoyable resting place.

We had a great weekend on the Furtschaglhaus. The team is very friendly and helpful. Got very crowded on the evening, tables were reserved which is unusual for such a place.

Very, very unfriendly owner, which cannot make up the excellent Kaiserschmarrn and good food in general.

Furtchaglhaus has a wonderful patio, which is where many weary hikers and climbers collapse for a rest and some good food. Some stay, some others continue climbing - on my visit two young men stopped for a long lunch, then continued upwards to the Grosser Moseler and bivouacked on the mountain overnight. Not being nearly so hardy or so young, my hiking partner and I stayed at the Furtshaglhaus, having hiked over from Olpererhutte. We enjoyed great food and camaraderie with other hikers/climbers through the evening and retired to our very comfortable beds. The huttenwirt and others were easily engaged in conversation about our route: although it is clear that not too many English-speakers travel this route, everyone is helpful and happy to talk. From Schlegeis car park - about 2h30m
