Great tour, lasted 2.5 hours and provided lots of info for the city and it’s history. Recommended for sure.

We had our tour with Sylvia and I must say I'm really dissapointed. Comparing to the other cities where I've been it was not so good. The tour took 1 hour 40 minutes and it was old-style sightseeing... boring. Usually there is a young guide with some fun & interesting facts. This time it was only history of the city therefore it's got really boring after a while. The guide even didn't know where I can exchange the money and I had to pay in my local currency which was inconvenient for me and the guide.
We had really good experience with Free walking tours in Chile and Brazil and we decided to get a Free Walking tour in our first morning in Vienna, since we thought suppose to be a great overview from the main attractions in the city and then to discovery the rest on our own. We didn’t regret to take this option and we were luck because we got a really friendly and knowledgeable guide that knew all about the history of Vienna and explained in details each attractions, always answering any question and giving us tips to go back with more time later on. We just thought that, since Vienna is a busy touristic city and especially during Spring the streets can be really busy, we had a kind of big group and sometimes we couldn’t hear the information he was trying to pass to us. But we got really good tips that we noted and visited later on, including a tip about the Opera State of Vienna that was really valuable where we wrote about it in our Trip Advisor review to the Opera house. Eli: 4 / Serge: 5 Recommended: Yes, it’s a great start to have a good overview from all Vienna main attractions.
Best walking tour I ever had. Lisa is a wonderful tourguide with lots of knowledge about Vienna. Other tours I experienced were quite boring, but Lisa did a very good job at keeping it interesting and funny. 10/10 would recommend!
We did a tour yesterday with Julia and we just loved her as a guide! She was very funny and kind!
This was our 4th free walking tour so far on our European trip and sadly our least enjoyable simply due the very large amount of people on the tour. There was at least 70 people so we were delayed several times so everyone can take photo or catch up. Our group was so large that when we stopped to hear the story about empress sisi there was overspill of people onto the small road some of our group almost got run over by a horse and carriage! Another time our group was stopped on a small street and a local lady showed her displeasure to us in German as the group was blocking access to her front door! Our guide Wolfgang was very knowledgeable and an entertaining guide. This tour could have been so much better and safer had the group had a limit in numbers.
We booked a place in advance for the tour. We arrived five minutes late and sadly this is our last day in Vienna. The guide, a young guy with glasses, was very rude and even though we booked a place he asked us to leave the tour (It is important to say that the tour has not yet begun). We tried to talk to him, he didn't even bother to come and talk to us. Very disappointed, we waited for that tour and we finishing with a bitter taste.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable.. loved the tour :)
