I've always found Austrians to be polite and accommodating people. This place didn't fail to live up to that. The service was great; down to realising German wasn't my language and an English menu was offered. The food was delicious, full of flavour and quite appealing to the eyes. So of course my plate was empty! The atmosphere, cozy and welcoming. Will definitely be back when I'm next in Graz. Thank you guys for such great service (especially the young lady with the short hair).

Good food, nice portions and a fare price. Beautiful place with several floor and an outdoor area. It's a very typical Austrian restaurant here in Graz.
Very quaint and welcoming place with both indoor and outdoor tables. Young and quick staff in service. The prices are low, I recommend trying the strudel or the waffel with whipped Cream and caramel.
At first, the menu said it is Schweinebratens , was thinking a simple dish like other Austria restaurant. But to our surprise, the dish turn up to be so delicious and a touch of special which is different from others . My friend had Hamburger which turn up nice too. Price is reasonable.
Good place for dinner and hangout. There is sitting option outside as well to enjoy summer and it's in central part of Graz which is best part. You can take direct tram to hauptplatz and from there it's 2 mins walking.
I always skipped this place because it looks like a pub at midday in the winter with no life, until I read the reviews. The restaurant is located in the second floor. The beef goulash, very good. Tender meat and sauce with strong flavor but not due to rare spices like in one place in Vienna. I picked the typical salted bread instead of dumpling bread. The sausages are worth nothing. 2 small typical sausages. I rather pay more for a big one. The third dish was the starter, as they brought them all together. The beans salad is for 2-3 persons otherwise you will wind up like me, eating more than 150 giant beans on your own in an typical beer restaurant. Weird. When I was going to leave some food on the plate I realized that the bottom had the liquid where I began to note the famous regional pumpkin oil and I had to finish it all. It was worth this final effort. They don't give you a prize if you eat all the salad yourself though.
After a "long" walk through Graz centre on the trail of a mystical trip advisor review, we eventually reached our target. Hungry and tired, we walked through the door and WTF! This place is spread over a large, multi storey house with individual rooms and areas with tables connected by a massive stairway which is the centre of this pub. It's amazing, never been anywhere like that. The good surprises didn't stop there as the beer menu is impressive, including ones they brew themselves. We drank, we enjoyed, and I would gladly drink again. Food menu is hearty and honest. Don't look for something too refined but the quality of cooking is good. All in all, I would put it on a list of must visit places when in Graz.
This was the only truly family friendly restaurant that we found in the whole city.the food is very Austrian and so accordingly very bland but you expect that when you are ordering central European food. Price was decent, the ambiance was good, and the service was good. I would highly recommend this place to anybody with young children that is trying to find a place to eat.
