Hannah's Foundation was founded in 2008 after the death of Hannah Isabella Alyson Plint in a domestic pool at Laidley. The pool had been illegally constructed and was non compliant and without council approval. The Foundation has been actively invovled in Coronial Inquests and the implementation of those recommendations to Governments. The Foundation has been invovled in the Queensland State Government Pool Safety Campaign including making submissions as well as participating in the Government Media Campaign. The 3 directors are all current serving Queensland Police and our Patron is Queensland Police Commissioner Mr Bob Atkinson APM. None of the Directors are paid for their work and we are sstaffed completely by volunteers. Hannah's Foundation provides a 24 hour peer to peer support network through the 1800 HANNAH number as well as face to face support, funeral assistance, advocacy and assistance with professional counselling payments. The Foundation conducts education campaigns through schools, community groups and local community organisations.
