Prices are double of what you get in the city! defeats the purpose of duty free where you get 10% off and you still have to get the money from a tax counter. Lines were long and the cashiers were slowly packing the wares. If you're in a rush... Good luck!

We bough some alcohol here and accidentally dropped the bag so one of the bottles broke. We went back with a bag dripping with rum and asked for some paper towels. The staff was super: they quickly and efficiently took care of the situation. They realized that we would need a new receipt to get through customs (the original could no longer be read) and they replaced the broken bottle at no cost to us. Well done!

Heinneman is the best duty free shop where you can purchase high class designer perfumes and creams, very nice Austrian wines and chocolates. You can find designer bags as well all at affordable reasonable prices. The workers are the most friendly people you can find in Austria. I love to shop in Heinneman Duty Free at Vienna Airport each time I visited Austria.
