We came here to try the wiener melange the Austrian coffee. We didn't stay here in the hotel. So this review is based on their coffee in the cafe inside the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and has amazing decor. The cafe itself was beautiful inside, but the service is slow and should have more staff. The coffee and cake was amazing. There's a variety of selection to choose from. Would recommend it here for a coffee but done expect quick service. Just come here knowing you have plenty of time to wait.

Cannot rave enough about this magnificent hotel. Historic. My room was palatial. Service superb. Piano lounge in hotel after Opera is wonderful. Great restaurant
Very nice historic hotel located in the center of Vienna, within walking distance from the Old Town. They have a nice bar and two dining venue. I spent three nights there and it was a good experience. I stayed in the executive junior suite, which is basically the same as a junior suite except that it has a balcony. I would not recommend paying extra for a room with a balcony, as it is useless (so narrow that it is not possible to even sit there). On the downside, their breakfast is quite disappointing: very limited spread and often understaffed so be prepared to wait for service.
The Imperial Hotel, also known as The Imperial, is a five-star luxury hotel in Vienna. The facade of the hotel is in Italian neo-Renaissance style. At the top of the building is a stone balustrade that forms allegorical animals from the Wurttemberg coat of arms. The main entrance contains four statues, which are also symbolic. The hotel's interior design emphasizes nineteenth-century Viennese elegance with ornate marble, hand-carved statues and massive crystal chandeliers. In the lobby, the royal staircase leads to suites and rooms, which are also illuminated by magnificent chandeliers, and there are paintings along the corridors and a sense of Viennese spirit. The specialty food of the hotel is the "royal bag" known as the Imperial Torte, which is a marzipan and chocolate cake.
Despite the Corona 19 crisis, all of the staff were exceptionally professional. I would not hesitate to stay here again and this would be first place to stay when in Vienna. Any troubles were immediately dealt with by staff (Lisa Löffler was particularly helpful). Truly an amazing hotel with amazing staff - perfect. Ian M
Sometimes you are somewhere and you don’t even know what happened there on that same floor you’re stepping on.... Over the years, this hotel has hosted several famous guests, including Queen Elizabeth II and Charlie Chaplin. Dignitaries and royalty from around the world stayed at the Imperial. Adolf Hitler, who worked at the hotel as a day laborer during his youth as a virtual bum in Vienna, returned after the 1938 Anschluss as an honored guest. Benito Mussolini stayed at the hotel during World War II with considerably less fanfare, being led through the back door on September 13, 1943, after his spectacular rescue outside the prison at Hotel Campo Imperatore, Italy by German paratroopers at Unternehmen Eiche (Operation Oak). Simon Wiesenthal celebrated his 90th birthday at this hotel in 1998 with a kosher dinner. "Look, even the chandeliers are shaking," said Wiesenthal at dinner. “Hitler is gone. Nazis no longer exist. But we're still here, singing and dancing.
Hotel Imperial is exclusive luxury hotel in Vienna with iconic grandiose exterior and interior. It is conveniently located in a prime location directly on the Ring. Our room - a maisonette suite had splendid view of famous Karl’s church and Musikverein. Staff is very hospitable and made sure that our stay was as comfortable as it could be. The buffet breakfast is good but the spread is not comparable with the standard of the hotel. Breads were bit hard and lacked the expected freshness. Overall a wonderful experience of royalty and hospitality.
We had a wonderful stay in this Palace of an hotel on the Ring in Vienna. Everything about it is truly an Imperial experience. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite on the second floor and it did not disappoint. A lovely appointed room in old European style, a walk-in closet and luggage are in the hall leading into the bedroom. The service was impeccable and staff made sure we felt welcome - from the sparkling wine in our room to help us celebrate our anniversary and great helpfulness in helping us explore the city. Once caution - the bathtub-shower is very narrow and I am a big guy. It took some contortion every day. And I had to knock a point off the score because of the tub. Despite three requests passed on the incredible front desk staff, a slow draining tub was never fixed. Instead the tub slowly filled every time you had a shower. Unlike everything else about this hotel, that was definitely not five star.
