The funicular is a great and easy way to visit some of the higher parts of Innsbruck. Enjoy the views, visit the Alpenzoo, have a drink and some Flammkuchen at the top or change to the Nordkettenbahn to go even further up the mountain.

Nice place to have a good bird view of Hallstatt. Cable car up was pretty steep and fast. Long queue over the Christmas period however much faster than other places. Nice gift shop at the bottom to buy some gifts for your loved ones.
Highly recommend. Nice hiking trail up and the view of Innsbruck from here is worth the climb.
In only 7 minutes you can get from city to the berg with astonishing view on the town. Close by are many hiking tracks, so you can be quick in the forest and enjoy nature
Beautiful view of the city. If you want a cheaper alternative to get here (other than the berg bahn)you can take a bus from the city.
The top station of the Nordkette funiclar. There is an elevator on the right side of the staion for prams and wheelchairs. It leads out onto the plaza which beautiful views of the city (if it's not cloudy). The area also had remnants of a Christmas Market (we went on Christmas day).
Must place to be when in Innsbruck. For the view both in summer (Peak) and for the snow in winter (skateboard and skiing). Popular place for wintersport and mountain biking.
The view was great. Didn't bother going up the cable car because there was too much cloud cover. There is a small Christmas market at the hungerburg station.
