A dimly lit crypt with tombs. They vary in their detail and size, but many of the Austrian emperors are here. The artwork and attention to detail are impressive. It would be helpful to have some additional background before your visit, and visits to the Stephansdom crypt and Hofburg would be helpful for gaining that information before coming here. The building itself offers little to see. Plan about 60 minutes. No photography is allowed.

Fascinating piece of history. So many intricate and unusual tombs in one place and the work that’s gone into them is astounding. Could be labelled a bit better but definitely a place you shouldn’t miss, especially for history buffs. The atmosphere is pretty unique.
Absolutely amazing. All of central European history in one place. It includes the breathtaking huge tomb of Marie Theresa, the only female ruler of the lands of today's Czechia. Small guide available for free in several languages. Free toilets available.
The main attraction in this simple church is the underground place of entombment for members of the House of Habsburg. Its an interesting place to visit, the place is morbid but also beautiful the 100 (or more) metal sarcophagi, some heart urns range in style from simple and plain to elaborately decorate. One can see little coffins of children and this is touching, and signs of offerings little artifacts people place near the coffins remind the visitors that life and memory linger on.
Very interesting place. Family grave from Habsburg Royal family. Some of the graves look very interesting. There are so many details on some of them. You need minimum an hour to visit this place. It's in city center and its very easy to find. For every recommendation. Not only for tourists.
Probably one of my favorite experiences during my stay in Vienna. Definitely recommend the guided tour. Very informative and adds to the haunting factors.
An amazing visit at this place where tombs of the Australian imperial family is located. Some of the tombs are impressive with huge decorations. Also are present the tombs of Sissi and Franz. It's a place you must visit if you travel to Vienna! The only think is that the tombs are very dusty.. but sometimes this is what makes the visit characteristic!
I found it to be very interesting. It gives you the chance to see how the lifestyles and beliefs have changed throughout the centuries. I was surprised at how lax the security was. Would highly recommend this for a visit. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the world.
