Beautiful skiing area, great for beginners too. Learned a lot in the 4 days I was there. The blue piste is great for beginners and the red piste are a good challenge for beginners. I'm sure there are enough pistes for experienced skiers. The restaurants are good to. Unfortunately the lift to the other mountain top was closed, but there were enough pistes left to ski on.

Awesome skiing area focused on families! Don't expect to party hard here, but if you look for a cozy skiing area to enjoy time with your family it's the place to be! Top skiing area for families in whole Austria in 2014!
Nice ski resort, good ski slope.
Perfect skiing resort. Usualy good snow, and pists for everyone.
Great place for holiday
While it can get crowded some days, it's a great place to go skiing for all skill levels. You have everything from the steepest hills to 6km long tracks, even a part dedicated for kids.
This was our first visit to Katschberg and I never thought this can happen, what happened with us today! Just before 4pm we took the lift Nr5 and we wanted to go back to our car near Wildereralm. From that piste we went down to the bottom of Nr 3. and realized that the only way to the car is by going down on 3 and 2. We arrived to the bottom of Nr.3 and saw that people were on the Nr2 lift, so we decided to take that one. We arrived there around 16:04. But the personnel closed the lowest lift and a black moustached man was not letting us into the lift! Needless to say, that in all ski places the lowest lifts usually operate longer, in order that people can go home easily. This is the lowest point of Katschberg and this is from where we could reach our car. The lift was operating. On the piste, there were no sign, that the lift is closed. This black hearted black moustached man said very arrogantly to us to go to home by walking up the hill, he don't care, the lift is closed. I was with a child and another family arrived a minute later. We asked, begged, that he let us up. At this time, we could still see that people were in the lift chairs! Then we asked that at least the children are taken up. We did not move and he told us that we should walk and go to hell. Finally we had to walk up... This is no service! I will never come back to this place! And I do not recommend to come... (By the way, if they close a slope because of the wind, they never open it again... and almost all the good slopes were closed today... what did I get for my money? I could walk up the hill with my son in ski boots...)
One of the best ski resorts in Austria.
