At the start of grade 11 at St. Gilgen International School I desperately needed a mathematics tutor who was able to offer his services in the English language and be very familiar with the IB curriculum, as it seemed like nobody could make me understand the subject. After the first few sessions with Mr. Starlinger, I have quickly found that my abilities in mathematics were improving, and I rapidly moved from getting an IB grade 3 (a grade 5 in the Austrian Matura) in the first exam, to getting an IB grade 7 (a grade 1 in the Austrian Matura) in my second exam and the ones after that. I am positive that without Mr. Starlinger’s help, I would not have been able to pass the mathematics exams and get my IB Diploma.
