This village museum was created with a lot of love and attention to detail. Even the plants are authentic varieties. The houses are beautifully restored and show different occupations of the past.

Nice place but I have hoped for buildings with presentations by human story tellers. That is available at the museum village in Stockholm and there you are greeted by somebody sitting at the lit stove and telling his or her story from the prospective of the local resident.

Wonderful museum village. Great day outing. Take a picnic lunch with you or eat in the restaurant.

Interesting open air museum. A good walk to see life in the olden days...

Very interesting open-air museum. It is a collection of farmers houses from the past century or earlier with all their belongings. A farm has some live animals. Good for both kids and adults. There is a lot to see, so reserve at least a half-day. The entrance fee is a bit high, however the kids can attend for free.

Discover living in a Village at 1900 in lower Austria. Farmer Houses, live crafting, animals, gardens and much more for a nice day trip. You can walk in a lot buildings inside (school, shop, winery). Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

It is more than just a museum, all the objects are arranged as a village with marvelous gardens and it looks like the owners just left for the fields.

This is one of the most gorgeous and charming museums! It shows very lively and authentically the history of the region. More than that, restaurants, small wineries and merchants offer their products and services - there is always something going on. A must if you are around.
