Great little museum but totally worth it! Everything is mostly in German only but you can buy a 3 booklet with a lot of info. The fascinating video of O.K. has English subtitles

On 4 April 2019, 11:30 am, I wanted to visit this "Museum" - it was closed. Even worse, no information on the entrance about opening days and hours !! So I walked five minutes to the Municipality ("Rathaus") to ask the whereabouts and I made also complain about this. A snubbish "Angestellte" (Frau Freitag) patronised me (belehrte mich), that Poechlarn - town is not responsable for this "Kokoschka-Haus". Such an answer with such an "entartete" attitude is typical for this town and region, also because of Stift Melk's Katholozismus' influence. I visited Poechlarn for three nights, only to visit Oskar Kokoschka's birth place. And of course, for those three nights I had to pay fees and taxes to this Municipality, in this context they consired themselves responsable for my money! The bottom line, I can not recommend to visit Poechlarn.

Piccolo ma interessantissimo museo ricavato nella casa natale del pittore. Viene proiettato un documentario sulla biografia e sulle opere dell'artista veramente molto interessante!

Einmal das OK Haus in Pöchlarn zu besuchen hat sich gelohnt. Die Ausstellung ist sehr interessant aufgebaut. Auch gibt es einen kleinen Archivfilm mit OK selbst. Gleich gegenüber kann man sich an die Donau setzen und die Gegend genießen.

Dokumentation über den Maler Oskar Kokoschka. Besonders aufschlussreich ist der Film über den Künstler. Sehenswert!
