Living in Vienna, you have quite a choice of Persian restaurant to choose from. As an Iranian, I know most of them, many of the owners already friends for decades. However, I am utterly surprised to find an extraordinarily tasty persian restaurant specialized in the food from Caspian Sea region; Gilan. Phoenix restaurant grabs your taste senses in dimensions you didn't know about it!!! Specialized in fish recipies, they even have imported fish from Caspian Sea, using the richness of original herbs from the region, the food is authentic, homemade and high quality. The sevice is friendly, professional and competent. Phoenix resaurant is operated by two sisters, who you can feel their love to their foods and ingredients. It has been a long time that I haven't given 5 stars to a restaurant, but Phoenix restaurant truely earns it. Just was on Friday there! Don't miss trying \Baghalipolo\ with Lamb, one of the finest outside of Iran!!! Update: I had today the pleasure to eat the Iranian national recipe: \Ghorme Sabzi\, Gilan style!!! Superb!!!

This is quite an original place with authentic food from north of Iran. My wife comes from this region of Iran and we both found the food tasty and quite authentic. The service is also excellent. We decided to go back there as soon as we visit Vienna again. Absolutely recommend it.

I love it , I had a international girl meet up there and Iran introduction concept, and it was amazing, food was real art and their behavior and smiles was like miracle, all of girls was so happy and in love with Persian food and the owner and personnel characters and definitely we will back ️ thank you Phoenix restaurant ️
