We've been here twice and even when its busy you got served pretty quick. Pizza's are very good and also the spareribs are nice. Very funny waiter ;)

Fantastic food here. Visited a few times and had the soup & toasties. Very welcome after a morning of snowboarding lessons! Very busy at lunchtime, which is understandable why the service was sometimes slow. The most difficult thing was trying to pay after the meal, as it was difficult to get the waiters attention.
Had a hard day in the mountains and cant be bothered to cook? PicNic has never disappointed me. Lovely local produce, beautifully cooked, even down to the side salads. So much care taken. And the pizzas are some of the best I've had. Great service too. Highly recommended.
Very average food and overpriced for what you get. The service didn’t come across very friendly but at least the food arrived quickly. We had a beef broth soup to start which was very tasty. I had the Kasspätzle which weren’t great as they had way too much cream making the cheese too liquid. My husband had a pizza which was good but too expensive for what it was.

I had a very dissapointing experience in this place. I went out with my german friend and the older waiter refused to speak english to me, he actually was so rude to ask her if i work in the area and how is is possible to not speak german. All this in front of me, thinking that i dont understand anything.And then his lady colleague comes with the same attitude, asking me things in german, without any hospitality feel watsoever. First of all, i travelled to over 40 countries with my work and nowhere was i asked to speak their language if i was in their country, second, the reason i am here is beacause i can speak 5 languages, while my austrian colleagues speak only german. But this is not the point, the point is to speak whatever language you speak in a nice way, thats it, doesnt really matter how many languages. Such a dissapointing experience, left a bitter taste, so beautiful place and so so cold people without any empathy. Shoutout to the younger waiter, i think bartender who actually said hi in english... hats off to you!
Service is very fast, even when it is very busy. The quality of the food is okay, but nothing special. The waiters are visibly stressed and grumpy when it is busy. They also have their favored customers who clearly receive more attention than the non-regular customers.
Always great! It's basically the only restaurant in Obergurgl that's not connected to a hotel. Warm kitchen all day (11am-9pm), no reservations. When it gets busy they stop seating new tables though which can dissapoint. Good prices and selection of food and drinks.
