Asked for the cheapest rental and was offered an Audi A4 for 550 Euro for 3 days. I declined and went by cab. I checked on the app for prices in the cab later on and saw an opel astra for 150, which had been fine. I don’t understand sixt‘s pricing strategy.

Brilliant experience! Smooth, quick and very efficient! Got an upgrade for no extra charge and the whole lot of cars was brand new. Would totally recommend to anyone who wants to have a hassle free holiday.

A little on the expensive side. The rental and return process was easy to manage. Was able to book on the last day too. The car was very well maintained and we had no issues in insurance/return/deposit refund process too.

Beware the weakness of the normal Sixt insurance cover, which now only covers 3rd party cover and does NOT insure your own car in the event of a claim. A large expensive extra insurance was needed to avoid being exposed , which was not obvious when I booked the car, and I often rent cars. It is no longer just a big \ excess \ risk for the customer , it is the absence of sufficient cover I feel. I have advised them to change their standard package of cover.

Easy to find, no queue and dealt with very efficiently. Car was clean, in good condition and full of fuel. Even though I’m 6 feet 2 this Fiat 500 served the two of us well for our trip to Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

It is my 4th car rent in SIXT and it was the worst one. Here are the issues: 1) first reservation procedures were ok, I was offered different cars and then was told about damages on chosen car 2) I found several new damages on the car and returned to the office. Had to wait nearly 20 min, then technical staff marked it on their device. 3) right after exiting from garage warning signal appeared that rear left tire Was low on pressure (near 3 time less than in other ones) 4) I returned to the station and told the staff about this problem. Desk officer was obviously annoyed by my second return to him and it was just outrageously! It was not safe to drive a car with a flat tire and he was annoyed! He told me to wait another 20 mins. I asked a technical staff to help me by myself. And it appeared that there was no pump at the station. I was advised to go to the nearest gas station and pump it by myself 5) then it appeared that tire problem was constant: everyday I needed to go to the gas station and pump a tire. Well it was not a bother to me but it says a lot about technical maintenance in Salzburg airport sixt station 6) on my return there was no parking place under sixt sign on the parking. There was nobody at the desk when I came there, so i Had to make a call to sixt hotline because i didn’t know where to park a car. Overall it was my worst experience at sixt. Especially a moment with annoyed desk officer. Hope not to face something similar during my next sixt reservations because previous 3 car rentals were just great.
