Loved this place like every other palaces in Salzburg. The gardens are marvellous with the Alps in the background. It’s not very expensive to take a tour of this place(it’s more like a museum),but one will need at-least 2 hours to finish the tour or you can choose to walk around it and experience the beauty of this place.Best time to visit Salzburg would be anytime between April - October.

Its a Palace turned to Museum. Tickets are available on the souvenir shop. They provide a gadget (I don’t how its called) to learn about the history of this place (Its better of you have a headset, they don‘t provide one, you can use it without a headset, but its as if you were talking to the phone, the whole time).
Place like a fairytale. Beautiful small lakes with fishes, green everywhere.
Nice garden has this castle, full of water tricks. Our family enjoyed it. There is a zoo near by. Recomand to visit iif you are in Salzburg with family.
Only visited the great garden beside the Palace. It's only fantastic!! Best place for kids!!
Beautiful garden and amazingly funny water fountains, and of course the gazebo from \sound of music\.
One hell(brunn) of a place! You must be filthy rich and raving mad to build such a beautiful palace just for entertainment and to play tricks on your guests! The exhibits inside the palace are charming, while the gardens and the multiple trick fountains are exquisite. Do not forget to go and see 'The Sound of Music' film pavilion situated in the grounds.
Well, this is definitely a must see, must experience place full of surprises! The style and architecture, the feel and the vibe there... it is one of those places where you feel like spending all day there and skipping the next one on your list for this particular day... my advice is not to do very deep research about such special places, just put in on your list and go experience it!
