Family ski holiday for the first time. Our children are mixed in confidence, and the school were excellent at bringing out the best in both and moving them into groups to suit their development, whilst also caring for them being too split apart from each other. The teachers were great with the kids too, especially Bente, interacting and making it fun at all times. After 3 days they were confident enough to do small jumps and run down gentle reds! We had both had a week or so past skiing, but not in this millennium, so we started at the beginners. Again our instructor was able to divide the group into those that were developing quicker than others so that we never felt over pushed or held back in our group. Our instructor Magnus made great progress with us, had a great source of energy and fun, and after 3 days were were confident to tackle all but the black runs around the area, and also ski as a family with enjoyment. It was also great to bond with the other students in our group. We will be back!!! In the words or our Instructor...KEEP SMILING

Just finished a weeks skiing here, first 4 days was under instruction. Have to say myself and the rest of our group hit gold with our instructor! James was superb, patient, detailed and always had feed back for each member of the group. Really was the making of a great holiday to get instruction from a friendly knowledgeable guy like James.
Great experience! Had a great instructor, felt really lucky to have booked a three days course with this school and instructor. He was patient, fun and attentive he was also very clear and paid attention.
Loved the experience. I was there for 5 days at beginner level and I can already do difficult blue runs. They have very good and polite instructors and I definitely feel that joining this school was a great decision. I will probably join again at intermediate level to move to the next level. Highly recommended.
Ski here almost every year and love it. The instructors know the language English very well so it helps me a lot. They also make it very fun. However overall an amazing place to ski.
The instructors should proactively reshuffle the groups if they are not balanced in terms of level. In my group there were two subgroups and my friend has had the same in hers. Half of our group always had to wait for half of the other group. Also it led to constant stops midway which was not always the safest.
This school is a great place for beginners. Before my stint here, I had never even tried on ski boots. I joined a 5-day beginner course for skiing here and initially had a hard time picking up the skills. To be honest, I thought this wasn't perhaps the sport for me. On my second day, however, my instructor, frustrated by my struggles, suggested I join another group led by an instructor named Norbert. Little did I know that this would revolutionize my learning process. Norbert was a wonderful instructor who took the time to learn the names of his students and could pin point exactly where each of us was going wrong. He was, therefore, also able to help us all learn in our own way by finding what worked for us. Under his tutelage I, who, after my first day, had all but given up on the idea of skiing, was able to ski on blue line slopes by the last day. I would highly recommend Skischule Obergurgl and specifically Norbert for beginners.
Very good instructors, professional and knowledgeable. Sunday I didn't know which end of the ski was which, on Thursday I was skiing blue runs.
