A meal that was a memorable experience. Friendly, competant service, excellent food, lovely ambience and the spoken.... and even some unspoken.... wishes fulfilled. Full points for the service team at my table Adrian and Peter

Really lovely, really beautiful food and incredible wine. Food was very unique, delicate, and delicious, we got set menus as it was both our first time. The sommelier was a total star as well,as we asked for a natural wine pairing and he made it possible without a moments hesitation. I only give it a four because at such establishments, I expect them to be super on top of their game and in our case I felt like they weren’t quite there yet. I mentioned in advance having some dietary restrictions and felt like some of the team were able to help and others not really, though in the end it was all okay. Some of the staff were obviously stressed and not in a good mood with each other, which of course happens, but not something that should show to guests. It makes me stressed too! All in all, would say general teamwork and communication could be improved to create a much better experience.
Incredible beyond words. The beeswax char was one of the best fish courses I've ever had. And the cheese trolley was exquisite. A great melange of modern and classic. Lives up to the hype
Good food, great service but too much sauce! Amazing bread options (probably 20 different types of bread!!!). Just a shame that every dish is soaked in sauce. It felt like each dish is soupe with some pieces of food drowning in. I tested far better places rated 2 Michelin stars and even some 1 start are better but again, the food is good! I would have preferred less sauce. This type of cuisine is just not for me.
The breakfast is fantastic. Firstly, it is located within a park so the walk to the restaurant and view from in there is great. We were greeted by the staff and they were able to accommodate to the change in our reservation timing without much issues. Ambience is lovely - nice and quiet although tables were full. Service was quick and they were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good, the cheese omelette was especially delightful. Initially was afraid the pancakes may be too sweet, but we were pleasantly surprised! It was just nice, and it goes very well with the jam and clotted cream cheese. The 3 cheeses were also a good combination, good mix of soft and hard cheeses, strong and mild ones. In all, a very nice choice for breakfast, highly recommend!
This review is for \Meierei im Stadtpark\ which is located in the same building . The food was simply great. The best veal schnitzel and apple strudel i've had in Vienna or Germany. The view is great and the atmosphere is very nice, unfortunately the service really lets the whole experience down. The restaurant was not busy, but the staff were terribly disorganised and thus it over 45mins for my coffee to arrive and a further 25mins for the bill to arrive.
Amazing and very well done gastronomy. The location and staff are perfect. The menu is very varied and the dishes consist of just out of the ordinary ingredients and amazingly creative combinations. If you are looking to go to this place, you are not just looking for a simple lunch/dinner. It is a high level and as such pretty expensive. However, compared to other restaurants of this level, Steirereck is really cheap. Would come back to Viena just for this place!
Not only delicious, but also a number of beautiful plates beyond imagination, a comfortable space and kind staff. This restaurant leave nothing to be desired.
