A place where you can get more information about visiting Salzburg and also buy your Salzburg Card. Staff was helpful and friendly.

This is not so much a review of the information centre which was fine just more of a heads up regarding the “Salzburg Card” for young families visiting Salzburg. We have a toddler who naps in the afternoons and we stayed centrally (so didn’t really get to use the public transport aspect). However, we found it very difficult to fit in enough museum/site visits to make the Salzburg Card worth it especially with opening hours as they are. We bought the 72 hours pass for 39 and probably would have only spent about 20 if we had just paid at the gate. I know every family and holiday is different but as a young family this wasn’t really value for money.

Spoke to 3 staff there the young lady and guy was helpful and patient. But the lady with the curly hair was absolutely impatient. We were here for 3 days and wanted information about tours and events to book. She just gave us flyers and just the Salzburg card. She did not want to spend more that 2 seconds explaining directions. It was not even a busy day with lots of people waiting to be helped. She was so rude. To that lady.... if you do not like your job and do not have the patience to do it well just quit so the overseas people do not assume that all Austrians are like you.

Can buy the Salzburg card (city) or Salzburgerland card (for area around Salzburg. Can be used as 1 day Salzburg card or redeem entry to Grossglockner High Alpine road)
