Plan for a full day trip. Jackets preferred even in summer. Seilbahnen are expensive. Try trekking one way if very adventures. It's tough though. Can travel to top and trek to another location nearby for approx 2 hours and return. View is amazing and restaurants are available on top which is expensive as well because of the location. It was crowded when we visited. Cable cars are empty if used during odd hours. Cable car from Austria is cheaper than the German one. It takes approximately 10 minutes in cable car to the top for 49 two way. There is a free museum on the top on Austrian side. There are skiing locations for winter as well. Masks are mandatory for all indoors. If not doing any trekking and only visiting for the view then 49 might not be worth it. View can be interrupted by clouds so visit in non cloudy weather

Quite steep in price but wholely justifiable for what you get in return. Quick and easy ride up to the top
Great experience. Enjoy the view and museum on top of the highest mountain of Germany and the gateway to Tirol Austria.
Normally I prefer to climb on the mountains by my own feet, but here the atmosphere and the view by using the cable railway is really great. Important: take the ticket in combination to go down to the glacier. There sitting and drinking a coffee with this view makes it really nice :-)
Insane is the word for this experience. It is probably one of the most expensive cable car rides but worth it. Superb experience. Amazing peak. Great experience overall.
Very nice place with the possibility of many experiences.
Great ride up and terrific views. Would give it 5 stars but even during corona times the gondola was far too packed. Minimum distance is not possible so be warned.
It's pretty great. Modern. Peak Summer and not too busy. Free parking too. Highly recommended. The top is great too!
