incredible collection of design/ art books; nice and helpful staff; cosy reading seats with natural sunlight; functional study rooms; the categorization is indeed professional and helpful for research; they have even magzines from Japan and China; my favorite part is the poster stating rules artistically

While some will certainly regret the charm of the old library in an older building, the new library that opened in September 2018 on the top floor of Vordere Zollamstr. 7, is excellent. The Angewandte offers one of the city's best collections of books about contemporary art, staff is very friendly and eager to help. All books can be directly accessed on the shelves, there are individual rooms where users can work together (or study rare books) and each seat has a light that can be dimmed individually. The library's graphic design which is based on illustration is a fun \plus\.
