I started at Alpha last summer when I came to Vienna for my exchange year. Now I'm taking my second intensive course while studying at University. The staff and teachers are really good and I learn a lot. My teacher is really proficient and uses different methods that are really helpful to learn the language. Every week there is the so called \Alpha Plus\ program which is really cool and in summer they even organize trips to different sightseeing spots in the city. I can really recommend this school! :)

Very well organised lessons with a perfect teacher in an excellent language school! I am a returning customer and absolutely satisfied again and again! Really effective teaching method with student oriented precise explanations and lots of practice. I really recommend them to everyone who wants to have a language exam certificate and /or really wants to learn German.
I really recommend the German course in Alpha Sprachinstitut. Alpha provided the lessons within the company in convenient for the employee time during working or non-working hours. The teacher is outstanding and always polite.

Very disappointed by this school. They have no break between one class ending and another beginning, which may be good for staff costs but loses time for students. The first class I was in was pure grammar and almost no conversational practice, and the long-timers in it appeared to lack fluency. They are extremely, seriously tough on money. I had to leave early due to a death in my immediate family. They steadfastly refused any partial refund, even though I was sent there because another school (IKI) where I was registered could not place me in the right level. Policy accounts more than people it seems. Not recommended
The course is a little bit more expensive than other intensive courses, but in return, the groups are smaller than in other academies and the teachers there are really really good. Furthermore, they are quite flexible with the begining of the course (you can start every Monday)
I was in Vienna in the middle of the summer for two weeks of intensive german. My main course was not with Alpha, so I took a support Privatstunde package (10 x 45min.) with them. The quality of teaching was of the highest standard, for a professional language-learner as myself (conference interpreter), and perfectly tailored to my own personal needs. Moreover, the staff are well-educated and always well-mannered, flexible to accommodate variable timetables, and I was lucky to be taught by Ms. Liebmann, one of the Institute's best, I believe. What I really enjoyed is the time we devoted to strengthening my oral expression skills, which was my primary goal for this round of lessons...my other course was in a classroom, so the chances were lesser there. But mainly, the teaching was combined with good spirits and a fun way to learn, skipping the handbook when necessary and providing extra material to answer my personal questions on different issues related to Austria and Vienna in general! Thanks a lot for the great work, Alpha and Ms. Liebmann, see you next summer maybe!
I trully recommend Alpha, they are really flexible, supportive and kind.
