Graben 26-28
N/A
In the Graben and Kohlmarkt area, close to the Plague Monument. These small public restrooms are below street level. One descends a stairway with elegant wrought-iron railings into an art deco-styled restroom. There is a female attendant who collects the .50 Euro fee and directs you to the first available stall. She did not know how to smile. There are five wooden dark-stained doors from the floor to the ceiling with patterned privacy glass. Inside, the stall and fixtures look like something antique; reminiscent of the 1940's. The floor is tiled with small tiles in a art deco pattern and Absolutely Everything is spotless. Everything works as it should and this was a pleasant way to experience the Necessary. Please note that these restrooms are NOT Wheel-chair accessible.
