I stayed at Schottenstift when I visited Vienna in January. I had a really comfortable stay. The staff were helpful. The hotel was in a great location, in central Vienna. The continental breakfast was healthy and ample. I really enjoyed visiting the museum next door and learning about the history of the place.

It was built at the end of XII century. In XX century it became a basilica minor. Now church has high baroque style and several chapels. It's charming place with calm quiet atmosphere.
Ventured slightly off the Vienna city centre, I chanced upon this Scottish Abbey with very nice interior, worth the walk and also found some good eateries around this area, Cafe Central is just about 3 mins walk and you must try the food here, reservation is definitely advisable.
This is in the 1st District nice lovely old building and good places to eat around there.
Wonderful place directly in the centre of Vienna.
What a pity you just can see the church behind bars. But it nice place
Nice old church. But we have in Czech republic better churches!
I have experienced here the spiritual. As not being a very religious person, the parohial athmosphere, the architecture and the height s ment to to make yoy feel as little as you need to know that there is truly something greater all around us !
