If you play classical musical instruments this event may be of more interest to you. However as a non-musician this was incredibly boring. I would have left at the intermission if I didn't pay so much for the ticket. My girlfriend and I paid 85 EACH for a section A ticket. If you are a non-musician / interested onlooker I recommend you buy the cheapest seats or do something else. *please note this is the first orchestra I have seen and I will not be going to any others based on this experience.

I would recommend this place, because the music there is really beautiful and peaceful.

The opera is a beautiful building, the concert was great and the staff was very nice and organised.

Music is mediocre, and the staffs were very rude and not willing to help. The location was at a side street and very hard to find. Sitting was very crowded where rows of people crowded into a small place. Plus the poor circulation makes the place very hot.

This is a concert for tourists. The players are dressed in supposedly 18th century clothes and it borders on just box-ticking of \Mozart's Greatest Hits\ (including Alla turca in an arrangement for orchestra), skipping any repeats in the pieces. But they also play some lesser known works, and they play well. The soloists are also really good. And I admit it was a special moment hearing \An der schönen...\ and the \Radetzky March\ in the hall of the Musikverein. Probably the closest I'll ever get to the famous New Year's concert...
